Boat tour and Livorno’s international heritage

This tour presents the history of Livorno’s English community and its impact on the city. The boat tour will make various stops throughout the morning, including a short stop at the historic “Fortezza Vecchia” (old fortress), for a sampling of typically English dishes.

The visit continues from the fortress to the chiesa degli inglesi (church of the English), visiting the interior of the church along with the English cemetary, with a particular focus on Byron, Smollett and Shelley.
